ゆきやこんこ あられやこんこ。
ふってはふっては ずんずんつもる。
やまものはらも わたぼうしかぶり、
かれきのこらず はながさく。

It snows. It hails.
It falls and falls. The snow builds rapidly.
The mountains and fields are covered with the cotton hats.
All dead trees bloom white.


Lyric:
Futtewa futtewa zunzun tsumoru.

ふる・ふります
Furu/Furimatsu – fall

Examples:
Yuki ga furu.- Snow falls.
Ame ga furu. – Rain falls.

Lyric:
Futtewa futtewa zunzun tsumoru.

つもる・つもります
Tsumoru/Tsumorimasu – pile up,lie thick,be covered with~

Examples:
Yuki ga tsumoru. – Snow piles up on~.
Hokori ga tsumoru. – It’s covered with dust.

Lyric:
Yamamo noharamo wataboushi kaburi,

かぶる・かぶります
Kaburu/Kaburimasu.

Examples:
Boshi o kaburu. – I wear the hat.
Hon wa hokori o kabutteita, - The books were covered with dust.

Lyric:
Kareki nokorazu hana ga saku.

さく・さきます
Saku/Sakimasu. – bloom

Examples:
Sakura ga saku.- The cherry blossom blooms.
Churippu no hana ga saiteiru. – The tulips are in bloom.
